Fontana, CA Fontana, CA Full-time Full-time $19 - $21 an hour $19 - $21 an hour 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago Responsibilities - Assist with day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties - Provide clerical and administrative support to HR Director - Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities - staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.
- Answer employee questions and deal with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations - Ensure background/reference checks and employment screening are completed - Serve as a point of contact with benefit vendors, and other agencies' administrators including temp agencies, company contracted clinics, and workers' comp insurance company.
Maintain accurate records and correspondences - Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data - absences, leaves, etc.
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures - Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews - Prepare new employee files and maintain current HR files and databases - Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees - Conduct benefit enrollment process and approve related invoices for payment - Work on other duties as assigned Requirements - Previous experience required as an HR assistant, or relevant HR/administrative position - Proficient in MS office - Basic knowledge of labor laws - Excellent organizational skills - Strong communication skills - Degree or certificate in Human Resources or related field - Bilingual Spanish required Job Type:
