Fontana, CA Fontana, CA Full-time Full-time $110,791 - $123,529 a year $110,791 - $123,529 a year Applied LNG has an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual, with RECENT supervisory experience in a bulk Cryogenic Gases and Cryogenic Transport Environment, to fill the newly created position of Director, Cryogenic Equipment Maintenance & Logistics at our Fontana, CA location.
This hands-on Director will provide leadership, motivation, training, and development to the Service Technicians, Field Mechanics and Logistics Team, while ensuring that all activities performed comply with safety protocols and environmentally sound standard.
The activities of this role will include a significant amount of exposure to customer personnel, and thus requires a person with excellent technical skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
We are looking for a team member to coordinate and supervise the daily, weekly and monthly activities of the department and ensure all activities are in accordance with company/customer/site requirements.
The Director, a key member of the Operations management team, is responsible for driving continuous improvement activities and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Essential Duties / Functions Supervision, scheduling and support of departmental personnel Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain or repair equipment necessary to support a positive and safe experience at every customer Providing on-call and emergency support service to customers Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware support for existing regasification and mobile fueling equipment Maintenance and service of fueling stations, both fixed and mobile units Completing administrative duties & documentation, including incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance and system documentation Maintenance and troubleshooting of LNG storage tank(s), power generators, air compressor, relief valves, control valves, ESD and safety systems Exhibiting and enforcing safety procedures in the field at the customer sites Requisition tools, equipment, and parts for internal operations and customer service and support as necessary Travel as required for business needs Experience and Requirements Minimum three (3) years RECENT Supervisory experience in a Cryogenic Environment Minimum five (5) years experience maintaining and repairing cryogenic regasification unit, electrical & PLC support and understanding, DOT compliance of trailer/transportation equipment.
Knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems, and submerged cryogenic pumps Must be able to manage and support staff at multiple locations Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle Must be able to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassisted Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to:
Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences of customers, vendors and manufactures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Creativity in solving technical problems Ability to work independently Uncompromising dedication to quality and safety Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks Applied is an equal opportunity employer.
