Job Description:
As a 3PL Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation and management of our third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse.
You will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse operations.
Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
1.
Inventory Management:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspecting and verifying the accuracy of products against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a neat and systematic manner.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist in conducting periodic physical inventory audits.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and tracking of inventory using appropriate systems.
2.
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track orders, generate shipping labels, and update order status.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order processing targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and stack products safely.
3.
Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout and storage space utilization.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
4.
Documentation and Communication:
- Accurately document and update records related to inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to resolve issues or address inquiries promptly.
- Assist in preparing reports, analyzing data, and identifying trends or areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center, preferably in a 3PL environment.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other related software.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (valid certification preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
