Job Description:
The Production Lead at Metroll plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the activities of our manufacturing production, shipping, and maintenance workers.
The primary goal of the Production Lead is to ensure that work processes are carried out safely, efficiently, and within established quality standards.
Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Upholding all safety and environmental policies, contributing to the company's Zero Harm commitment.
Establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet set production goals.
Maintaining operational data including productivity and material usage, and reporting these results to management.
Coordinating with management and other supervisors to harmonize operations and activities within or between departments.
Direct interaction with employees to resolve work-related issues, quality issues, productivity issues, and for the purpose of conducting training.
Ensuring proper reporting of time and attendance within the timekeeping database.
Active participation in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
Performing housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of material.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving skills and ability to foresee issues with processes and act to correct them.
Ability to discern the most favorable course of action when considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions within their department.
Leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and direct employees, fostering constructive and cooperative working relationships.
Capacity to multi-task and manage several aspects of departmental processes simultaneously.
Familiarity with and ability to use all equipment and tools in the department.
