The Accounting Analyst 1 will be responsible for compiling financial data and analyzing and evaluating trends to ensure the company is operating according to sound accounting principles and financial standards.
This position will work closely with the internal accounting department, external financial professionals, and senior leaders to evaluate our income and spending and provide detailed reports including projections for profits and losses.

Responsibilities:
Posts transactions into a computerized data entry program supporting the financial accounting system; verifies accuracy and appropriateness of amounts Traces transactions to source documents and/or partners with internal departments to identify discrepancies; makes recommendations for correcting entries.
Classifies, codes, and consolidates charges, rates and related financial information using an automated financial accounting system.
Utilize math skills to analyze key financial data.
Apply technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding Prepare financial reports on a determined schedule.
Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization.
Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.
Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities.
Works collaboratively with the senior leaders within our organization.
Performs general accounting functions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Advanced technical knowledge of the practices, terminology, and principles of bookkeeping; accounting practices, clerical and office procedures and methods, business mathematics and record keeping.
Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply knowledge of accounting and auditing standards during reconciliation and journal entry origination and processing.
Math skills sufficient to compute sums, quotients, fractions, percents, and ratios.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical accounting and financial concepts to others and convey a positive, service-oriented image of the department.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with all levels within the organization and influence change.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; Advanced spreadsheet skills, including the ability to create formulas, perform mathematical calculations, understand functions, create workbooks, use multiple worksheets; format and print worksheets; sort lists; and create graphs and charts.
Previous experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Experience/Education:
Associate's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
At least 3 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, or a combination of experience and education.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.
